Product Description
This HikMicro Thunder 2.0 TQ35 thermal imaging scope has a standard magnification of 1.82x and it has a range of 1,800 meters. This makes it possible to spot your target from afar. Once the target is within range, you can manually activate the camera to capture the shot or let the thermal imaging scope do it for you. In fact, it has a recoil-activated recording function, where the camera takes a short shot as soon as it detects recoil. This ultimately gives you short clips of every moment you pulled the trigger. If two shots are fired in quick succession, those two clips will be merged. This makes efficient use of the battery and storage space that the HikMicro Thunder 2.0 TQ35 thermal imaging scope has.
There is a rechargeable Li-ion battery inside the thermal imaging scope, allowing it to stay on for as much as six-and-a-half hours consecutively. The battery can be easily removed or changed through the flap on the left side of the scope. The HikMicro Thunder 2.0 TQ35 thermal imaging scope has an eMMC (an embedded multimedia card) with a storage capacity of 16 GB. Thanks to the free HikMicro Sight app, you get all the photos and videos you take transmitted to your smartphone through the hotspot function. It is also possible to adjust the settings of your thermal imaging scope through the Sight app.
By cleverly linking the functions, optimal use is made of the buttons on top of this HikMicro thermal imaging scope. Virtually every button can be pressed once or pressed for a long time, and both ways of pressing them are linked to a different function. There are a total of five buttons, with the following functionality:
– Power button: Pressing the button once puts the thermal imaging scope on standby or just activates it. Holding down the button turns it on or off.
– Mode button: Press the button to switch between the four different color modes (white hot, black hot, red hot, fusion).
– Capture/Record button: By pressing the button once, the scope takes a picture. Pressing and holding the button starts or stops a video recording -with audio. If you are in the menu, you can move the cursor up with this button.
– Menu button: Pressing the button once takes you to the quick menu. Pressing and holding the button will take you to the extended main menu. If you are in the menu, pressing this button once will confirm your selection. Pressing and holding the button closes the menu.
– Digital zoom button: Press once to switch between different digital zoom levels (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x). Hold down to activate Picture-in-Picture mode. While in the menu, you can use this button to move the cursor down.
The HikMicro Thunder 2.0 TQ35 thermal imaging scope features a 640×512 thermal sensor with a pixel pitch of 12 µm. With a frame rate of 50 Hz, you are assured a nice smooth image displayed on a 1024×768 (0.39-inch) OLED display. The NETD (the thermal sensitivity of the thermal imaging scope) is 20 mK, allowing the thermal imaging scope to detect and display even the smallest temperature differences. The eyepiece of this rifle scope has an eye relief of 45 mm and the diopter can be adjusted from -5 to +5. On top of the thermal imaging scope is the focus ring, which allows you to focus manually. Other functions include measuring distance and adjusting the color of the reticle. Depending on the color mode selected, the reticle will change color to remain clearly visible.
This thermal imaging riflescope has an IP67 waterproof rating. This means that the riflescope can be submerged to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. Furthermore, the housing ensures that the riflescope is recoil resistant.
